The clean fuel landscape across the Midwest is evolving – and a newly expanded network of Clean Cities and Communities (CC&C) coalitions is leading the charge.
Since the 1990s, hundreds of businesses, cities and school districts in Kansas and Missouri have partnered with two long-standing CC&C coalitions: Kansas City Regional Clean Cities and Communities and the Eastern Missouri Alliance For Clean Transportation (formerly St. Louis Regional Clean Cities). These coalitions have helped partners upgrade their fleets, cut costs and improve air quality by switching from petroleum to cleaner, more affordable fuel alternatives.
But with only two coalitions covering such a wide region, many communities lacked regular access to CC&C support and resources. Now, that’s changing.
With support from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Vehicle Technologies Office, we’re excited to welcome three new DOE-designated coalitions to our regional network:
Together, these five coalitions form a strong regional network ready to provide the funding, resources and technical expertise your organization needs to adopt cleaner, cost-effective fuel and fleet solutions across Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Our mission is simple: to help your organization transition to cleaner, cheaper fuel solutions.
