Marathon Technical Services is working with KC Regional Clean Cities coalition to provide FREE, hands-on educational training on the proper and safe way to design, build, and operate maintenance facilities for CNG, LNG, hydrogen, and propane vehicles. The training includes both in-classroom training (Oct 17) and tours of local facilities (Oct 18). Attendees must register for both days separately.
DAY 1: (register)
The in-class content will be offered at the Wyandotte County Fleet Services in Kansas City, KS. October 17 course topics will include:
- Properties of gas
- Safety issues and failure scenarios
- Code overview and application
- Best practices – Designing for certain building types
- Best application of equipment options
- Cold vs. warm weather garages
- Special spaces (paint booth, adjacent spaces)
- Cost data
- Case studies/virtual tours
DAY 2 (register):
You must attend the training on October 17 to participate in the tours. On October 18, participants will tour gaseous fuel facilities at North Kansas City School District, KC Area Transportation Authority, and Lee’s Summit Schools.
